Within the training industry it is estimated that the new test format will add 8 to 10 minutes to the test itself, but: to reach the required standard will add at least an extra day's training to a Direct Access course. The knock-on effect of extra test and training costs signifies a rise in the average cost of a DAS course by approximately twenty-five per cent.
